Since 2018, over 100 incredible women have shared their stories with Melanie and allowed her to transform their words and likenesses into portraits for this project. These are their truths, their experiences, and the lives that they live. Multiple women featured in this project have sadly died since being drawn. We continue to honor their legacies and push for further research for StageIV metastatic breast cancer so that fewer of us will have to say goodbyes years before we should.
*Not all of the women featured in this gallery have had/have breast cancer, however this project was started with this community as its primary focus, having since expanded to cover all women’s issues.
